Nationwide strikes are set to affect travellers using Italy’s airports and railways this weekend. Unless averted, flight delays and disruptions are expected. Travellers are encouraged to check the status of their flight before departure.

Alitalia pilots and flight attendants will hold a national strike on July 5 between 11am and 3pm.    

Possible strike action by ground handlers at Portuguese airports on 1, 2 and 3 July 2016 may cause disruption to flights. Travellers are encouraged to check their travel itinerary and the status of their flight before departure.

French Air Traffic Controllers have announced a strike starting on Monday, 27th June 2016, at 17:00 and ending on Wednesday, 29th June 2016, at 04:00. Unless averted, flight delays and disruptions are to be expected. Travellers are encouraged to check their travel itinerary and the status of their flight before departure.

Pilots operating flights out of Amsterdam for low-cost carrier EasyJet will go on strike on Tuesday, June 14th 6am to 2pm, in a dispute over pay and pensions.

Air France pilots are set to hold a three day strike from June 11th, details of affected flights are soon to be announced.

Portuguese aviation union SITAVA announces ground handling workers from the two country’s handling companies Portway and Groundforce are striking on May 19.

French rail workers will hold rolling strikes every Wednesday and Thursday from May 18 onwards, in the face of poor working conditions. Eurostar expected to run a normal service.
