OUR STORY SO FAR


The Dundee, Perth and London Shipping company was founded in 1826 to take passengers to and from London to Scotland by steamship. It is fair to say we have been in the travel business for a long time! All that experience has taught us a lot too and we understand what’s important for the traveller, especially the demands of corporate travel.

We have always placed personal service high as a priority and that is still true today. Our corporate travel consultants are experts in what they do and will always go that extra mile to ensure that our business customers and their travellers have the best possible experience with the least amount of fuss. Our 24-hour emergency help line is still run by our own staff in Dundee and St. Andrews.

We’ve embraced technology as well as we can see the benefits that it brings to the corporate travel booker and traveller alike.

Looking to the future we are beginning to see how climate change and sustainability will have an impact on our industry and so we are helping our customers monitor and adapt to this environmental change.

MEET OUR SEnior TEAM

The senior team all have many years involvement in the travel industry. We also have a team of professional and experienced travel consultants who work hard on behalf of our clients. The same travel consultants are on call to provide our Emergency helpline advice if there is ever an issue with travel plans.

ALICK BISSET

CEO

Alick has extensive senior management experience not just in Travel but in a broad spectrum of businesses. Alick, who led a MBO of the business, works with the Senior Management Team at DP&L Travel Management, to deliver to our customers value, convenience and control.

Alick passionately believes by combining our near 200 year tradition for service with our state of the art technology we are able to deliver a truly world class travel service.

CAROLINE Runciman

Corporate Travel Manager

Caroline has been with DPL Travel Management for 20 years.  Caroline joined the company to work in our accounts department and after a few years trained to become one of our Business Travel Consultants.

For almost 18 years now Caroline has built a strong relationship with many of our business clients and has excellent communication skills. With broad knowledge of the travel industry and passionate approach to customer satisfaction will be sure to provide customers with high service standards and cover all travel requirements.

Caroline loves to spend her time outside of work with her family and dog going for long walks.

BRIAN KANE

Senior Travel Consultant

Brian has been with DP&L Travel Management now for 21 years initially joining as a Business Travel Consultant and has steadily worked with the company and has now been managing the Travel Management team for the past 8 years.

Having worked in the travel industry since leaving school Brian has worked within the leisure and airline sectors  and now concentrates on the corporate travel sector bringing years of knowledge and expertise to benefit our core clients with all their travel needs.

Away from the office Brian enjoys the great outdoors usually on 2 wheels being a keen cyclist and spending time with family and friends.

Paul Greenhill

Travel Manager

Paul has been a loyal DP&L Travel employee since leaving school 30 years ago, with the majority of that time spent in the Travel Management business.

Having worked his way from a trainee position in our Leisure Travel division, to General Manager of DP&L Travel and now looking after the travel systems element of the business, he has gained a diverse set of skills within the travel industry, especially in the corporate travel sector, allowing him to utilise his extensive knowledge to the benefit of our clients.

In his spare time you can usually find Paul out on the golf course where he is a very keen golfer.
