Fast Track Passport Control
Speed up your journey into Edinburgh with Fast Track Passport Control. This service is available to all inbound passengers arriving into Edinburgh from a destination outside the UK and Ireland – however you’ll need to book in advance. Please note, the Fast Track lane is for use when you are inside the arrivals hall only.
So how does it work?
After disembarking, follow signs to the passenger arrivals/ passport controls.
Once in the arrivals hall join the Fast Track lane where you will be greeted by a Fast Track host.
Present the confirmation e-mail of your booking to the host and access the lane.
A Border Force officer will undertake the usual passport checks prior to you proceeding to the baggage reclaim or arrivals if you do not have baggage.
Opening hours – Fast Track passport control is available any time the arrivals hall is open, however please book at least 24-hours in advance.
*If you are a non-EU citizen please ensure you have the necessary travel documents; including visa (where required) and landing card, prepared for your entry.
How to access Fast Track security
Those who have booked multi-storey parking automatically get Fast Track passes. In this case, providing there are no bags to check-in, the easiest way to access it is via the overbridge on the second level of the multi-storey car park. Follow the signs and you’ll be in security in a few short minutes.
If you’re not coming from the multi-storey car park the Fast Track lane is situated to the left of the e-gates (the area where you scan your boarding pass) as you make your way towards security.
The Fast Track lane is open each day from 04:00 to 20:00.
How to book Fast Track passes
Passes can be booked either in advance or when you arrive at the airport using one of our QR codes.
As outlined, passengers who have booked multi-storey parking automatically get access with their booking.
When you arrive at the Fast Track entrance all you’ll need is your ticket or booking confirmation and you will be granted access.
Children under two go free at Fast Track security, and it’s flexible so you can arrive up to an hour before or after your booking.
Please note the time you book for is the time you are expecting to go through security, not your flight time. If you are booking Fast Track with car parking the time will correspond with the time you arrive in the car park.
